Launch Campaign

A four-creator influencer campaign supporting the launch of The Chosen Presents: Taste & See — a devotional cookbook from Dallas & Amanda Jenkins and Tara McClary Reeves, set in the world of The Chosen. The program paired faith-lifestyle and hospitality creators across Instagram, TikTok, and newsletter. Their content connected recipes and the book's first-century table traditions with faith, family and hospitality during the launch window, reaching relevant faith, lifestyle and hospitality audiences.

Campaign Objective: Drive awareness and purchase intent for The Chosen Presents: Taste & See through trusted faith and hospitality creators during the August 4–24 launch window.

Campaign Status: All eleven placements published by August 21, three days ahead of the giveaway close. Aimee Guess opened the program with her August 4 newsletter feature and completed both of her Reels. Aarti Sequeira and Bre Bertolini published their first Story Sets on August 13 and 14. August 18 brought four more placements: Aimee’s Sabbath Reel, Bre’s Reel and second Story Set, and Aarti’s Skillet Chicken Reel. Aarti completed her deliverables on August 19 with a five-frame second Story Set, and Amy’s Reel went live August 20 as a collaboration post with the publisher, followed by the TikTok cross-post and her Story Set on August 21, completing all eleven placements.

Strongest engagement
Aarti Sequeira
Her Reel drew 2,000 likes, 688 comments and 213 saves, with a 25-second average watch time — the highest on the campaign — and 41 new follows. Her food, history and faith storytelling accompanied the campaign's strongest reported Reel engagement.
Strongest link activity
Bre Bertolini
186 link clicks across her Story frames, more than any other creator reported. The giveaway announcement frame alone drove 116 of them from 6,416 views — a 1.8% tap rate into the Reel.
Amplification beyond scope
Aimee Guess
Her newsletter feature opened the campaign. An added-value Story share generated 549 taps to her Lemon Mint Scones Reel. Three of four creators reshared their Reels to Stories without being asked.
Widest platform spread
Amy Romfo
Amy was the only creator whose campaign content ran on both Instagram and TikTok. Her giveaway Reel recorded 23,725 views and 212 comments and was published as a collaboration with the publisher.

Reel engagements combine likes, comments, shares and saves on the Reel. Link clicks are taps on link stickers in Story frames; destinations varied by creator. Creators who did not place a link sticker show no figure rather than zero. Story impressions count frame-level exposure; a viewer may be counted across multiple frames, so they are not comparable to Reel views. Reporting is complete for all four creators across all eleven placements. Across the campaign, Story link clicks totalled 302 — 186 from Bre Bertolini, 60 from Aarti Sequeira and 56 from Amy Romfo. Destinations varied by creator, so these are not all measured traffic to the retailer.

Aimee baked the Lemon Mint Scones from the book with her daughters and tucked a batch into the freezer ahead of Sabbath, then the family sat down together with tea. The book stayed open on the counter throughout. Her closing line — "Sabbath has taught me that sometimes we have to prepare for rest" — framed the recipe as preparation for gathering rather than as a dish.

The second of Aimee's two Reels, and the reflective counterpart to the scones. She framed Sabbath as one day each week to stop producing — a practice she described as having brought some of the sweetest moments of faith, family, and hospitality to her ordinary table.

  • 1 IG Story Set introducing the book, on a separate day
  • Book giveaway — 15 copies to her audience, provided and shipped by David C Cook

Amy built a charcuterie board around the Honey Goat Cheese Truffles from the book, opening on the admission that she used to think having people over meant getting everything just right — and realized she was spending so much time preparing that she was missing the reason for gathering.

"Hospitality isn't about performing for the people we invite in. It's about making room for them. For food, faith and real connection around the table."

The Reel was published as a collaboration with @david.c.cook and appeared on both Amy's and the publisher's grids. The collaboration treatment was additional to the contracted Reel. Three of the four creator Reels ran as collaboration posts.

Posted with #ad up front. This Reel carried Amy's giveaway: 15 copies, entry by comment, which closed August 24.

A four-frame Story Set captured live from Amy's account, published on a separate day from the Reel per the agreement. Each frame carried #ad, tagged @david.c.cook, and included her link sticker.

  • 01The confession — hospitality once meant perfection, held beside the book
  • 02What the book is: creating space where people feel welcomed, known, and at home
  • 03Interior spreads — recipes, Scripture, reflections, prayers and practical ideas for hosting
  • 04The finished board, with the reminder that the heart behind the recipes is gathering, not perfection

Amy delivered four frames against a three-frame scope.

Amy reshared her Reel to Stories the same day, adding her own overlay calling out the giveaway and how simple it was to enter.

Not a contracted deliverable. The share carried a Watch full reel prompt routing her Story audience back to the Reel, where the entry mechanic and full terms lived.

The same Reel was published to TikTok, where Amy had 105K followers. The caption carried the disclosure up front, tagged @davidccook, and directed entries back to Instagram so the giveaway ran in a single place.

A Story Set introducing the book from her kitchen, captured live from Bre's account. She opens with an audience poll — Do you watch The Chosen? — then introduces the book by full title and all three authors before turning through the interior.

"It is filled with spiritual reflections and little devotionals. It has hospitality practices and so many culturally rooted recipes based on what they would have eaten in biblical times."

She also frames the book for readers beyond the show's existing audience, telling viewers they'll love it whether or not they watch The Chosen.

Later frames move to the pages themselves — a look inside at the photography, prayers, and practices, described as connecting ancient traditions to modern gatherings.

A second Story Set driving traffic to the Reel. The opening frame announces the giveaway against the book on a stand, with a link sticker routing viewers to the Reel where entry and full terms live.

The following frame shows the finished Martha's Divine Dessert staged beside the open cookbook page it came from — the recipe and the result in a single shot.

Aarti Sequeira

Aarti Sequeira

  • 1 IG Reel — Skillet Chicken with Pomegranate, with resurrection-meal voiceover
  • 2 IG Story Sets — book introduction and supporting content, on separate days
  • Book giveaway — 15 copies to her audience, provided and shipped by David C Cook

Aarti cooked Skillet Chicken with Pomegranate from the book, opening with her reflection on how smell and taste connect food with memory, and following that thought to its conclusion: that Jesus would have experienced the same crunch and sweet-tart burst of a handful of pomegranate seeds.

"Suddenly, Jesus feels even more real to me. Not the distant, two-dimensional character calling out to me from the page… Now He's in 3D, someone who has/had favorite things to eat. Favorite people to eat with. Meals to look forward to."

She framed the book as part cookbook, part devotional and part history — a look at how first-century Jews gathered, prayed and ate together — and tagged all three authors individually alongside @David.c.cook.
